You and I actually have a lot of interests in common, though we didn't word them exactly the same way. My online RPG is FOE (Forge of Empires), and I'm trying to start on Elvenar, too, but that's a lot harder to understand because it's new (I think). FOE isn't at all as chauvinistic as the ads make it out to be, either. There is never a situation where a male character asks to buy another male character's mate. All trades are goods based, and achievements are made through research, construction of special buildings, and battle only if you choose. The only issue is if you don't collect your goods when production is finished, people tend to attack and plunder your city and take them, thus stunting that part of your progress. And, the game makers claim that's just part of the game play and have little sympathy other than to tell you how to avoid it happening.
But, as far as ancient civilizations like Egypt? OMG, I'm a documentary glutton! I have my dad to thank for that, as he used to punish me by making me sit by his footstool in silence while he was watching the news or a documentary. LOL! The only ones I don't enjoy are the ones about bugs...unless it's about dung beetles or army ants, as I think they're positively fascinating as long as they aren't after me!
I would love to be mutual friends, as long as you don't require constant responses to your entries. My dad has Alzheimer's type dementia and is in a home, and he's just started showing signs of cognitive deterioration, so I kind of have to be on call to visit my mom and spend time with her when she needs a shoulder. I'm also in the discernment process of becoming a pastor in the First United Methodist Church, hoping to be one of the first "extraordinarily ordained" LGBTQ+ ministers they allow in their church, so I can have a congregation where I show my parishioners that God's love is for everyone because of Jesus. I have had it up past the top of my head with people using His name to spread hate. I've been called to spread His Love.
